Fresh Start?

Im not sure who even follows my blog and whether they care if I post or not, But I figured what the heck, Im gonna give this blogging thing another go! We finally got our internet set up in our new house we rented (which I love) and so I figured now I have NO EXCUSE!
Andre is downstairs with my brother Landon doing P90X and I quit after 20 minutes and said I HAD to blog haha.
Valentines has come and gone and we had so much fun! Andre got me an iphone4! It was a total shock and I was SUPER excited about it! I finally gave in after months of saving and bought him his first gun! He is one happy guy!! Its kind of nice for me too with him working graveyard I feel a tiny bit safer. Anyway, Andre had a whole day planned and surprised me with all of it, we first went and got couples massages which were beyond amazing! Then we had reservations at this super nice Italian restaurant called Ventanos and it has an amazing view of the strip it was so pretty! Then we went and saw Just go with it and I loved it!!!! My brother Luke and sister in law Emmy came to the movie as well and we were all cracking up the entire time! Its definitely a must see! So we had a fabulous day and I just realize over and over what an awesome husband I have!

California OR Bust!!!

So obviously this trip needed its own post because it was seriously SOOO much fun and a much needed break!!
I was working late Friday night at the salon and I got a call from Adrianna saying I needed to get off and pack and get in the car with Ariel and meet them in California, how could I say no?
I finished my client, packed in 10 minutes, called Andre and asked if it would be ok and then we hit the road!
We got to my aunts house by midnight and the fun began!
She lives on a lake so that in itself was amazing. We layed in hammocks, kayaked on the lake, went to Newport and Huntington beach, outdoor swap meet (AMAZING!), played cards, had a funeral, went to singles ward activities haha (thats my aunt and uncles calling), slept in, ate alot of YUMMY food, and made fun new friends!
We pretty much made a million new memories! I loved it, I took lots of pictures from my phone because sadly Andre had work :( I really really missed him! We stayed until Wednesday and I loved coming home to my grumpy man.
I am DEFINITELY ready for round 2! Who is with me?!!!?

I really just cant seem to keep up on my blog! Shame on me! Sooo what new you ask? SO much! My cousin had a baby, my brother got married, I went on a trip to California, so many great things right?! I even have pictures for proof! ENJOY!!!

So this past weekend was another one of my best friends weddings. Carrie Elizabeth Tielemans now GILES, married Jeff on November 20th. So of course this whole week was filled with wedding festivities and traditions. I have always LOVED weddings and especially when its a close friend, because I get to help in all the planning and carrying out of the events. So Thursday night was Carrie's bachelorette party, we had it at my place and it was SOOO much fun!!! We had a "slumber party" if you have never heard of that type of party Im sure you can google it and find out :) anyway that was hilarious/funny/informative/fun. After the party we went to karaokee and it was HILARIOUS! I have never been myself and I was honestly laughing the whole time! I swear some of those people think they are going to be discovered there and they are dead serious! Needless to say the group I went with was so much fun and we really had a blast. I am so sad my camera died before karaokee cause there were some funny photo ops.
So the next day was Friday and it started off with Carrie and I getting spray tans and then off to good ole A-1 to get our mani/pedis. I always appreciate girl time in the nail salon. That night was the grooms dinner and we had WONDERFUL Bajio! I havent had it in so long that I was in heaven!! Of course after the dinner we headed to my place to practice our best friends dance that we have done at every wedding so far! Of course Sonic drinks were a necessary item and then girl talk about "we cant believe carrie is getting married tomorrow"!!! Everyone finally left and then it was WEDDING DAY!!!!
Saturday started off early at Carries at 8am to help Carrie get ready to go and we had bagels and chatted some more and then we all went our separate ways to get ready and then we got to the temple at noon for the ceremony, everything was gorgeous and Carrie is now a married woman!!!! The reception that night was GORGEOUS and nothing short of amazing. So below are ALOT of pictures, and like I said....ANOTHER ONE DOWN!!! :) (p.s. Andre's trip to Salt Lake

So here are the pictures I promised. Andre went to SLC this past weekend with his two best friends Jake and Gideon for there old mission friends wedding. They obviously had a good time while I was back here working :/ I think they planned that. haha. Just kidding. I was happy he got to go spend some time with the boys. They had some bad weather driving home and it took them twice as long to get from salt lake to st george poor guy. But they are back and safe! Oh and take a look at their cake! Its a CASKET! Can you believe that?! I guess he works in a mortuary and so they decided on this wedding cake. Im not sure how I feel about that but to each his own right?! The reception was at the Joesph Smith Memorial building in Salt Lake so they got some awesome pictures of the temple from above!

Busy, Crazy, and a little more Busy!

Life in the Dessau house has been anything but boring in the past few months. I dont even know where to start because its been so long since I have blogged!! I log on everyday and tell myself Im gonna post but I end up reading everyone elses updates and then dont have the time to post myself. BAD HABIT! So I am starting off today by posting.
I am currently working 2 jobs now, and can I just say its TOUGH! I commend anyone who has ever done this because boy its hard. I am still at the mortgage company as a receptionist/lending assistant and about a month ago I started in this SUPER cute salon called Aqua Salon. I love love love that salon. First of all it is sooo gorgeous inside and I work with the best girls! I have been working there nights and every other Saturday, my hopes are to start building up my clientel and eventually that be my only job. Its so fun and I am so happy I decided to get my foot in the door there because I love doing hair!
As for my dear husband Andre he is also working two jobs AND going to school!! I cant even begin to tell you what a trooper he is, what an amazing guy he is! He works full time as a security guard and part time at UNLV tickets, he is also majoring in Biology Pre-Med, he wants to go to medical school so bad! That has been his dream for a long long time and he is finally pursuing it and I couldnt be more happy for him! He is so dang smart and I envy him because I never was a school girl, I could try and try but I just wasnt good at it. He got straight A's this past semester and he's doing all that and working both jobs! Bless his heart. Love him to death!
So as you can see we have been a busy little family, we see eachother right before passing out in our beds nightly at around midnight if were lucky. Its no fun for now but I know it will pay off in the long run when Andre is done with school.
I forgot my camera at home today but I promise to post some fun pictures of Andres trip to Utah with his buddies for one of their mission companions wedding later today.

P.S. Tanzie is still doing great, she is thee most hyper puppy you will ever meet, needless to say she fits right in :)

Christmas is HERE.....well practically

Sooo Thanksgiving was a success! So much food, family fun, relaxing loooong weekend with no work, movies, restaurants, shopping, and the list goes on and on.....
Now my mom has officially decorated her house with ALL here Christmas decor! I swear she owns every christmas decoration made! Her house looks so good! Im sad because I have maybe one or two things, I guess its time to head to Walmart!
Anyway on Tuesday of this past week Andre and I moved into a new apartment!!! We are so excited to have so much more room!! We moved to a 2 bedroom and we love it! I cant say we used this long weekend to unpack and get settled cause that would be a lie, we lazed around cause its a holiday and we deserved it! Thank you to all the family and friends that helped us pack up and move, we made it in ONE trip thanks to about 5 cars and a trailer. We also gave our couches to our old neighbor who didnt have any because they were pretty crappy, I mean they still looked nice but they were so uncomfortable and so so so small! We got them for free from my aunt when we got married and weve been wanting new ones ever since. We were just gonna throw them away but we figured we'd tell our neighbor first and he was so excited to take them off our hands. So for Christmas this year we decided instead of buying eachother all these things we dont really need we are just going to get couches! How fun right?! We have yet to go get the, I have the ones I want picked out, I think, but I wanna shop around a bit more before I decide, its a HUGE decision! We have also been shopping around for a bedroom set and a new coffee table so if anyone knows of some places with some great low prices let me know! I have been searching craigslist but so far no luck! So let me know if any of you happen to come across anything!

Special Day

Saturday was a VERY special day! My brother Luke and his girlfriend Emmy have been together for about 2 years, she is so fun and we all love her to death! The last 6 months or so she started asking Luke more and more questions about the church, and so luke starting teaching her everything he could! Finally about a month ago she decided to take the missionary discussions, and on Saturday she was BAPTIZED! It was such a special day and we were so glad we were able to spend it with her! Being who I am, I was late so I didnt get to take pictures of her in white, my dad baptized her so he got some pictures, I will try to dig those up and post them later on. We also had a date night and carved pumpkins with them afterwards and that will be my next post! Lots of pictures to look forward to!

Pumpkin Patch!!

So I know its been a while since I posted last and I have lots of pictures to share :) It's fall but it still feels like summer! On saturday it was 92 degrees most of the day! It was NOT fun!! And although my birthday isnt until November 5th, Andre got me a NEW CAMERA! Its so dang cute and I cant stop taking pictures! So this is the first picture taken with my new beauty, courtesy of andre :) haha...

And then here is my cute baby girl Tanzie, she is getting so BIG! When we got her she was only 2 pounds! And now look at her! She loves posing for the camera! I just LOVE her!

So last week for family night we all went to the pumpkin patch, Im not gonna lie I used to LOVE going every year but when we got there we realized it was alot of little kids and none of us were little anymore! Weird. Luckily across the street in the mall parking lot was a fair! We all were SO excited, so we decided to go over there instead, it had pumpkins as well and then there were all the rides and fair food! Yep, we had multiple funnel cakes! Mmmmm my fav! Flu Flu GO AWAY!

Soooooooo I was one unlucky girl this week and caught the flu from a co-worker I'm assuming because it is being passed around the office like the plague right now!!! So I was miserable and laid in bed with a fever, chills, a migraine, and so congested. Basically I could NOT move to save my life!! My sweet hubby took very good care of me, I was very impressed! He called into work (which was MUCH needed for him, working 2 jobs and going to school) and he made me breakfast, lunch, and got dinner at Cafe Rio! And sick or not, I WILL eat my Cafe Rio! haha. So anyway the last few days I stayed home from work and watched who knows how many episodes of "Say YES to the Dress" lol I love it and thanks to re-runs and TiVo I successfully watched every episode made! So I'm now back to work today and feeling MUCH better! My only hope is that Andre didnt catch it! Maybe next year I will get vaccinated....ehhh probably NOT! This is how I feel about shots, times 100! :)

FALL

I love love love fall! Its starts to cool down here in Vegas (finally!) and we get to have our windows open and not have to have our air conditioning BLASTING costing us a million dollars! And when fall comes it means that all my FAVORITE holidays are creepin up! Halloween is always a blast, I love passing out candy to all the cute kids in costume, then comes my birthday (can't believe I'll be 22!) then comes THANKSGIVING and I just love yummy food (obviously) then comes CHRISTMAS!!!!!!!! I love the holiday season, I feel like everyone is so much nicer and I love giving! It makes my day to send someone a card or pass along a present and see the smile that comes with it. And this year I am married to my sweet hubby and it makes all the difference in the world to spend this time of the year with the one you love! Here are a few pictures that get me excited :D

Remembering...

It seems like just yesterday I was in 8th grade getting ready for picture day and I came down the stairs and my mom couldnt stop watching the TV fot 2 seconds to tell me if my outfit was cute. I asked her what was wrong and she said that terrorists had just attacked our country, I could not believe it. I remember not knowing exactly what the world trade center towers were, and if people were there etc etc... when I got to school the news was on in every class and not one thing was accomplished that day, I remember watching the plane hit the second tower and my heart sank as they made an educated guess at how many people were in those building that day.. next was mass panic and instantly everyone jumped in to help. Our country pulled together like never before, it was an amazing site. Today as I remember what happened 8 years ago today, I am remembering those that lost their lives in service to our country as a result of this day and I am praying for those that lost loved ones as a result of this tragic day. Please pray for the soilders still fighting. God Bless AMERICA!

Favorite Shows right now!

Ok so obviously I like alot of shows right now! I swear I do more than just watch TV hahaha.. But these are some of the GREATEST shows ever! If you havent seen any of them I really suggest you do so!

24 is SO freakin awesome! One day Andre just borrowed season 1 from the library (which by the way is the way to go, its FREE) so we started with season one and we are totally hooked! We are now on season 4! It so bad cause we never go to sleep at night, we just keep watchin! I swear TV on DVD was the BEST thing ever invented! No commercials,and you dont have to wait another week to watch the next episode! We love it!

HOUSE!!!! Andre is going to school to be a Dr. and its just been his life long dream so this show is his LOVE! I bought him season 1-3 for Christmas and then I surprised him last week with Season 4 and 5 and then season 6 starts on the 21st! We just love Dr. House!!

SYTYCD!!!! I am so obsessed with this show its sick! I have never missed an episode in all 5 seasons! And season 6 started last night and I am lovin every second of it! The auditions are SOOO funny sometimes! There are some amazing dancers this year!! Andre is not so much a fan but he will sit and watch every so often after I beg him to! He is so sweet, he bought me FRONT ROW seats to the season 5 tour here in Vegas in November, I am SO EXCITED!

Glee is the freakin funniest show EVER! It just started last night for its first season and it is already a HUGE hit! I think its rated #3 right now for best shows this fall... Seriously it may sound dumb but you WILL laugh your booty off I swear!!!

So I guess I do watch alot of TV, but they are all GREAT shows, how could I just cut one out?? :)

p.s. If you ever call or text me during the times any one of these shows are on...Im so sorry but I WILL NOT answer you :) I promise I still like you!

Restless Leg Syndrome, is that real? Cause if it is I have it!!! Ouch! My legs hurt allllllll the time and it is so miserable! I take tylenol and ibprofen like its my job! I hate it! Last night was one of the worst nights ever, I tried to let it "run its course" but I ending up laying awake until 3am punching my leg... I wish I could describe the feeling but I cant it just hurts! And today at work is another wonderful day with my own diagnosed RLS and it sucks! I cant wait til 5 o'clock so I can just run it off or something haha...

So I really suck at posting, BUT in my defense I always find time to blog at work (whoops) and I dont have any of my pictures on this computer obviously. Also My camera broke and so I stole Andre's and his is dying now too so there hasnt been much picture taking going on, its kinda sad! Well anyway my birthday is coming right up in 2 months so you can probably guess what I asked for :)

Yep, a BOMB diggity camera! So hopefully my husband pulls through and then I will be posting 3 times a day hahaah..

So to catch you up a little, we have been SUPER busy and had alot going on! Andre started school on Monday and he goes 4 days a week from 6 to 9 and one of those days he goes from 2:30 til 9! Thats what I call a LOOOONG day! And if you think thats bad, on top of all that school he works 2 jobs, one during the day and one from midnight til 8 am! It is CRAZY, I dont know how he does it! So if you even encounter him during the week he is usually grumpy and I apologize in advance LOL but all I know is I would be a million times WORSE! In fact I wouldnt do it! hehe.. So basically what Im saying is he is a trooper and I NEVER see him! I go to work from 8 to 5 so I leave before he gets home from his graveyard shift and I get home and he has already left for school... so I see him from 9:30 when he gets home from school til 11:30 when he leaves for his graveyard shift, and during that time he eats his dinner and is half awake on the couch, I dont blame him a bit, life is tough for my man right now. Hopefully this all pays off one day, he is majoring in pre-med so this is only the beginning!

So thats a little sneak peak into my world, Im sure I have it alot better than most and for that Im grateful! Love you babe!

New addition to the fam!

Soooo Andre FINALLY gave in and bought me a PUPPY!!!! She is a mini chihuahua, and we named her Tanzie. She is such a good puppy! We actually adopted her from an animal shelter here in Las Vegas, Tanzie and her 5 sisters were rescued from a dumpster a few days before, but when they were brought to the animal shelter it was SO packed that they put an ad on craigslist to try and sell them or they would be put to sleep in a week. So I got her in the nick of time and Im hoping that her sisters were adopted too cause as much as I tried Andre wasnt gonna let me have 5 baby chihuahuas hehehe understandably so! Anyway she is lovin all the new attention from EVERYONE! She is so dang cute everyone stops me to take a look, she is two months old and we are so HAPPY she is ours! These pictures are compliments of my cousin Ryan, for some reason Tanzie wouldnt sit still for me to get a picture! Lil stinker!

There is no big reason for this post except to tell everyone I love love love my hubby. He's so great! hehe.. He just started working at my office and it has been SO fun to carpool to work every morning, and go on lunch break together! I love spending quality time with him! Sweetest man ever! :)

Happy Day before Friday!!

I am having the feeling that Friday will NEVER come! And this feeling always comes when Im excited for something.. Friday after work I am flying to Boise for my cousin Heidi's wedding! Im so pumped about it! First of all I am so HAPPY for her and I love Tyler (her fiance), I LOVE weddings! I have a weird obsession, I can look at wedding photos or go to weddings everyday! I dont even need to know the people I just love looking at all the lavish decor and the bride always looks so gorgeous.. uh oh I have a sickness hehe. Anyway she is getting married Saturday afternoon in the Boise Temple and im also excited to be able to visit a new temple! Most of my family is already there but I couldnt get work off :( bummer. But I LOVE Boise and Im happy I can go at all. Heidi and I have been so close since birth and this is a big step in a girls life and Im glad I get to share this with her!
